To our Valued CMGMA Members,
Welcome to Spring! It appears Mother Nature has decided to give us all a reprieve after “blessing” us with three winters last year.
My apologies for the delay in welcoming you all into this new year. I am excited for the months ahead. Having spent over 20 years as a member of CMGMA, and six years on your Board of Directors, I could not be prouder to serve as your 2012 President.
Our March Program was a huge success, as evidenced by the responses we received from all who attended. Please know that we do take ALL responses seriously and have adjusted our topics and speakers over time, to be in line with what you would want and need from us.
Every educational program hosted by our organization feels like a homecoming. I am always thrilled to see those of you who began their health care careers as ‘newbies’, as I did, (remember the ledger card) and who have since blossomed into seasoned health care professionals, moving your practices into the fully electronic era. I am also excited for the newer members (seasoned or new to healthcare), for the comradeship and education you will receive through your membership. There is no other professional organization that can offer you the speakers, information and networking opportunities that CMGMA offers. The ability to share your experiences with those who truly understand your daily challenges is a return on investment unto itself.
2012 will be an exciting year for CMGMA. In addition to our scheduled programs, we are also undergoing a website redesign. This redesign will be user friendly and will provide more information than currently available, on many levels. We are hoping to have a demo available for the June Expo. Until then, if you have not had the opportunity to log onto the (not yet revised) website, please do so at www.cmgma.org and view the educational programs scheduled for this year. Our Programs Committee is already working hard at securing the programs for next year and we welcome all ideas from members.
We are working hard at making certification to the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) a less stressful experience for you. We will be providing links to resources, on-line study groups, forum discussions and testimonies from those who took the exam to help you on this journey. Please contact our CMGMA Executive Office at info@cmgma.org, should you desire more information about certification. I will keep you updated on a regular basis, as to the activities of the organization. Do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance to you in any way.
