Greenville CMPE Study Group

The Greenville chapter will be offering a review via Skype until the September 2017 exam date.  If you would like to participate please feel free to send an email to cturner4@ghs.org and you will be added to the email list and calendar invites.  The sessions will be offered on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 1200-1300 hours and that session will repeat from 1700-1800 hours.  The review will be free of charge and open to anyone working toward obtaining the prestigious CMPE credential.

 ACMPE Enhancements for 2017

The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) is pleased to announce enhancements to the board certification program as a means to strengthen the recognition of certification in the marketplace.  Please click the links below for more information about these Enhancements and additional ACMPE FAQs.

Scenario-Based ExamThe Exam Development Committee is currently redesigning an objectively scored, scenario-based exam to replace the current essay exam. This new exam will be introduced September 2017.  

The new exam will consist of 18-25 scenarios, each followed by three to four questions that focus on critical skills/knowledge candidate would be expected to show in the described situation. Questions are presented as multi-select, multiple choice, short answer, or drag and drop matching.

Eligibility Requirements – As of January 2019, the qualifications to apply for ACMPE certification will be changing. In addition to requiring two years of healthcare experience, and six months on a supervisory role, applicants will be required to hold a bachelor’s degree or 120 college credit hours upon applying.

There are 8 weekly webinar modules covering the six (6) domains in the Body of Knowledge, which are open to members and non-members. See the webinar series in the MGMA store for more details.  The 2017 webinar series will begin in May. 

Fellowship Study Group is on-demand 

The Fellowship study group webinar series is designed to help individuals considering Fellowship to learn more about the process and requirements and encourage them to earn their FACMPE. All webinars are now available on-demand. The 2017 live webinar series with begin in April.

ACMPE Scholarship Fund Inc. 2017-2018

The ACMPE Scholarship Fund Inc. application cycle will open February 28-May 1, 2017.  The application can be found here.
